Pupil Performances Bring Pleasure to Hunstanton Care Homes

This week, 25 pupils from Years 7 to 11 in Smithdon High School’s Choir brought Christmas cheer to the residents of three local care homes: Millbridge Care Home, Somerset Villa and McCarthy and Stone Retirement Living Development.
Samantha Watkins, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone, commented: “Everyone who came along to our Christmas event had a wonderful time. It was a great opportunity for locals to see for themselves what a close-knit and supportive community we have here at Eastland Grange, whilst getting into the festive spirt.
“I’d like to thank the pupils from Smithdon High School for their brilliant performance and helping to get our festive season off to a fantastic start!”
The children performed a series of modern and traditional Christmas songs during their first opportunities to support the local community and show off their growing talent. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed performing and are excited for future opportunities to interact with the community. Thrilled to see the residents joining in and singing along with some holiday favourites, Fallon Pearson commented how “it made it even more special to see and hear the residents singing along with us!”
If you would like to hear the Choir perform, as well as an array of other solo, duet and rock band performances, come along to Smithdon High School’s Annual Christmas Carol Concert. The concert takes place at St Edmund’s Parish Church in Hunstanton on Thursday, 12th December 2019 at 6 p.m. Entrance to the concert is free but we will be accepting donations of non-perishable food and money to be split between the church and the local food bank.
