What Our Governors Do
The current Chair is Mr John Crofts and the Governors meet six times a year, once every half term.
The Governing Body has a strategic role in setting aims and objectives, agreeing targets, policies and priorities and monitoring effectiveness. It also evaluates the school’s performance through results and data, outside agency reports and the School Development Plan.
The range of skill, experience and expertise amongst the Governors is considerable and this enables the Governing Body to support the school across many areas and in various ways.
Governors attend all major school events, such as the Prize Presentation Evening and School Productions.
The governors are an enthusiastic and dedicated group who enjoy the school’s successes and progress. However, they take the role of ‘critical friend’ very seriously and challenge the school's Senior Leaders on issues of performance and effectiveness. Governors achieve the very best possible for the school.
