Catch-Up Funding (from Sept 2020)

In 2020, the DfE announced a Catch-Up fund to address the gaps in learning caused for huge numbers of students nationally, following the national Lockdown and school closures.

(more information on the allocated funding and planned spend to support our students at Smithdon High School will be added on this page in due course)

Year 7 Catch-Up Fund (up to Sept 2020)

The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium provided schools additional funding to support Year 7 pupils who did not reach the required levels in reading or maths at the end of Key Stage 2 (KS2).

All schools had to report on how this money was spent, as well as the impact of the premium to those pupils who were eligible.
