Brancaster Festival Concert and Workshop

Launching of the new lifeboat in Old Hunstanton - "The Spirit of West Norfolk"
The wind ensemble from Smithdon High School were extremely honoured to have been asked to provide the musical accompaniment for the formal naming ceremony that launched the new lifeboat at Old Hunstanton on Saturday 22nd October 2011, in the presence of various national and local dignitaries - The Mayor of King's Lynn & West Norfolk, the Deptuy Mayor of Hunstanton & Chairmand of the RNLI Technical Committtee. Wednesday 16th November saw the arrival at Smithdon High School of the 1948 Olympic Torch held by Paul Evans the former long distance olympic runner, who was launching the Let's Get Active 2012 campaign across West Norfolk. Read More >

Music Mix Concert Trip
On Tuesday 20 March a group of 50 Smithdon High School students took a trip to the Theatre Royal in Norwich to experience a full size orchestra perform a wide variety of pieces, a wonderful experience for all those participating. Read More >
